It's time to like politics.......

Day after day in this semester I discover that social networking penetrates in every domain. the articles and book topic of this week explained a new advantage that we can gain from the use of social network, which is the the political aspect.

mentioned in the book, the advantage of blogging and it's effect on the campaign of Howard Dean, one can really notice the reality of the use of social networking not only in marketing and socializing but also in politics........ as I mentioned in two of previous blogs"how to be a millioner" & " Bloglization" that there is no limit to the use of blogging.

a good example that needs to be mentioned here is in the article about the the two teens. I wasn't surprised about the use of facebook or myspace; however, the idea itself of raising money through social networking by the two teenagers grabbed my attention. It's really nice to see how younger generations are taking the advantages in a real positive way rather than abusing or misusing the technology.

I think it's important to remember that with the good comes the bad. So, although we have seen a good example of teenagers using the internet, there are also examples of teens misusing and abusing this technology.

You're right though, social networking is everywhere nowadays. I don't know if I am noticing because of the class or because it is becoming so prominent.

To respond to Joe's comment about the prominence of social networking sites...

I've noticed the same thing. I don't know if its because I'm looking for it now that I'm in this class, or if social networking is becoming increasingly popular.

I've seen Second Life mentioned on multiple news programs. I've noticed newscasters commenting and citing bloggers and referring to YouTube videos. Even the Express has a "Blog Spot," which is now my favorite part of the paper. And now everyone from my uncle to my distant friend from 2nd grade are now my Facebook friends.

I totally agree with joe and colleen. Since we started talking about all these different technologies I have encoutered them everywhere. They have always been there, but now that I am aware they exist I find them all over.

We spend numerous amounts of hours connected to the internet, so I do think that social networks are a good way for politicians to target younger generations as long as the message they carry across is interesting enough to them to capture their attention and make them want to share it with their peers.
